Gathering your materials and inspirations
I tried to organize a materials list without limiting your creativity. I will, with some hesitation, make suggestions. I hope that you will not bog yourself down with trips to the craft store. Instead, consider the supplies you have on hand. Look through your junk drawers and recycling. All sorts of items can be used to make interesting marks and textures.
Material Ideas for Intuitive Painting:
Canvas, watercolor paper, multi- media paper, cardboard, card-stock, paper bags
Acrylic paints, watercolor, oil pastels
Stencils, feathers, marking tools like scrapers, pallet knives, old credit cards, business cards
Qtips, dabbers, pencil erasers
Collage adhesives such as glue sticks, Mod Podge,
Old magazines
Cardboard or other stiff surfaces to mount paper when painting
Blue painters tape
